Geneva was not the city I expected it to be. It’s neighbourhoods contrast in incredible ways. If it weren’t for the small flags on the trams and the quietly international population, you could forget the UN operates out of here.
It was also time for more goodbyes – this time for Monica. Six months of exchange and interning with an NGO means a lot of new friends – the few I met were incredible and we both look forward to the day we cross paths again.
Now it’s time for Bec, Monica and I to travel to places unfamiliar (and with less French/English). I hope to find gelato as good as that in Carouge.
